Take advantage of Nice Ride rental bicycles all over the Twin Cities! Nice Ride is a non-profit organization and anyone can become a subscriber. Simply take a bike when you need one and return it to any station in the system when you arrive at your destination. It's fast, easy and affordable.


Walking is an easy way to get around campus and students can walk between many buildings through tunnels and skyways via the Gopher Way. Signs and maps direct you to your destination. The Gopher Way is open from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm. Visit to learn more.

With all the construction around the Twin Cities campus, driving to and from classes can be difficult and troublesome. Parking on or near campus is also very limited and students must enter a contract parking lottery every semester (which does not guarantee a spot). For information about parking, visit their website

Rent a Zipcar on campus when a car is needed. Cars are available on campus 24/7 and with low hourly or daily rates that include gas and insurance.

Super Shuttle runs to the airport from Centennial Hall or Middlebrook Hall, 24 hours per day, $17 each way. Make reservations 24 hours in advance at 1-800-bluevan.

Taxi cabs have a minimum charge of $4. They charge per mile and should be tipped about 15%. There is also a charge for waiting time. Below are some local taxi numbers.
