Visit the MELP office in 20 Nicholson Hall to check out a book!

You can also visit MELP's collection of books on LibraryThing. Click on your level or color and find books within your English level. To find out your level and color, ask your Reading and Composition class teacher. 

 

English Writing & Speaking Improvement

UMN Libraries offer many resources and services that can help you, including international newspapers, magazines, books, and dictionaries (online and print). Check out their ESL Resource Guide!


Library Guide for International Students

UMN Libraries offers a Library Guide for International Students available in English, Chinese, and Korean.


Library Help

UMN Librarians can help you 24/7 via chat on the Libraries homepage under Ask a Librarian. Peer Research Consultants (trained UMN students) provide one-on-one assistance to develop the research strategies needed to write an excellent research paper.


Tutorials, Guides & In-Person Workshops

UMN Libraries offers a number of interactive and video tutorials as well as guides which offer convenient ways to learn more about the Libraries and academic research strategies.

 

Computer Labs

University students may drop-in and use networked computers, professional software suites, scanners, printers, and related equipment in computer labs on the Twin Cities campus in public computer labs; academic computer labs may also be used when not reserved for class or other University-sponsored events.

The Libraries Media Services is located in Walter Library, room 204. Your instructor may assign a project that requires the use of media services.
